Access your 5250 applications |

OverviewYou need to modernize your applications by improving interfaces and giving to users access to the Web. You can do it with PHL web application screens that were developed "in-house" starting from their sources. But we must proceed differently with external applications that you acquired the license, because you don't have their sources. Want to have an emulator providing access to Web applications running in 5250 mode and allowing crossed calls with other applications. PHL 5250 is an emulator for accessing 5250 screens from a web browser. It allows calls to any interactive application (program, command, query ...) as it is, without upgrading or rewriting. Using a Java applet, PHL 5250 is fully integrated the PHL Web portal. From the menu manager, it becomes easier to call a 5250 command program than a URL, or a PHL Web program. Depending on the configuration, implementation will be a tab in the portal or in a new window. PHL Web program can call a 5250 program, passing parameters and receiving any additional parameters in return. It's possible to pass in parameter a list of libraries and the LDA. The color, font and the name of the unit screen are customizable. Colors can be customized at the application or user. The user can click on the function keys, use the mouse wheel and use the copy-paste functions. |
